Education Background

Dr. Ganglin Yin earned his Bachelor of Medicine degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (General Practice) from Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, specializing in acupuncture and TCM.

He subsequently completed his Master’s degree in Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine, focusing on the study and clinical application of the classical text Jin Gui Yao Lue (Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet).

Professional Experience

Dr. Yin has over 40 years of clinical and academic experience across China, Russia, the United States, and Canada.

After graduation, he practiced traditional Chinese medicine and was later appointed as an Associate Professor of Acupuncture at Hunan University of Chinese Medicine in 1993.

He was subsequently invited to practice TCM in Russia, where his outstanding achievements were reported by World Journal (《世界日报》) — a major Chinese-language newspaper headquartered in the United States and, at the time, the largest Chinese newspaper circulated globally, including in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the United States.

Following his work in Russia, Dr. Yin taught and published several works in the United States before establishing his professional career in Canada.

In 1999, the Oshio Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic and Oshio College of Acupuncture and Herbology were founded. In January 2001, Dr. Yin officially assumed the position of President, leading the institution into a period of steady growth and academic excellence.

Throughout his career, Dr. Yin has trained nearly one thousand students, many of whom have gone on to become licensed practitioners, significantly contributing to the Canadian healthcare system.
